I’m a writer, editor, and blogger from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My writing is focused on the confluence of art, culture, and politics in American society and has been published by Esquire, Spin, Good , Swindle, and Colorlines, among other print and digital publications. I’m a blogger at Forbes, where I write about media consumption and the  commercialization (and exploitation) of culture. I’m also a senior editor at Computerlove, where I report on art and design and curate the online publication’s interview series. Prior to that, I was a contributing editor at Thought Catalog and worked as a contributing writer at True/Slant. I’ve appeared as a commentator on Austria’s FM4 radio and I’m the editor of Young & Reckless, an anthology of narrative nonfiction and progressive visual art.
