Well, not exactly. Quick research reveals that “testosterone is primarily secreted in the testes of males and the ovaries of females.” So to say a less testosterone-laden Situation Room might be more fitting, but you get the gist. Visual artist JK Keller, inspired by Brooklyn-based Hasidic newspaper Der Zeitung‘s decision to digitally remove Hillary Clinton and Audrey Tomason (Director for Counterterrorism) from this story, has given POTUS and crew the smudge-stick treatment: “Or maybe get rid of all the men…” he writes. It’s a roughshod edit, made in haste using software that Keller doesn’t call out. But given his caption, the photo plays like an exercise in choose-your-own-reality image making. And as Keller adds with another edit, “I can delete Hillary Clinton & the other lady too!” Let the photo remix wars begin.
